SmartScan™

Considering that most TAD machines are speed limited due to TAD temperature limitations, the SmartScan™ becomes a perfect tool to help increase the sheet consistency going into the TAD dryer allowing the machine to run at higher speeds and reducing drying demand. 

It also removes the necessity of collecting hand samples which currently poses a degree of risk to the operators and machinery. 

The SmartScan can be used to evaluate process changes made to increase pre-tad consistency such as steam box flows, chester box vacuums, backwater race temperatures, furnish, starch and refining settings. And, considering that the sensor offers a live feed, the impact of these process changes can be seen in real time.
