It was designed to overcome the typical limitations of NIR technologies (near-infrared) such as limited penetration of the reading, color sensitivity and inaccuracy measurements when the topography of the sheet changes.
The control unit used to operate the SmartScan™ has the capability of controlling up to 16 sensors which facilitates expansion and multi location readings.
The SmartScan technology is equipped with an effective cooling system that allows for the sensor to be installed in the first dryer section.
This allows for an accurate tracking of the consistency entering the dryers.
